PowerPages - Dynamics send mail processes

Hi everyone,

as everbody know one has two processes, one for resetting the password and one for sending the mail to confirm the contact.

And some others, but for me those two are most important:

The flows worked fine till yesterday around 8pm.

In the morning some testuser triggered the flows and no email is send.

The mailbox is active, flows are active, permissions are active and it worked like a charm till today morning.

Does anybody know a reason or what was changed today? We unfortunately changed nothing and were surprised to get the news today....

One thing what came to my mind is that I am using the new powerpage with the mspp prefix instead of the adx.

All the flows are set up with adx and there are no new flows created with mspp.

Any help is appreciated.

    Hi @Lucas001

If you have upgraded to the enhanced data model then there is a high chance this workflow might have stopped.  I am experiencing some issues as well but not related to this. Possibly a bug.

Please raise a support ticket with high priority. Link here

    Hope it helps.

    Hi @ragavanrajan,

    thanks for the answer.

Raised a ticket and will post a solution to keep you updated.

So after some time we finally figured out what the issue was.

    When you get the error:

    ErrorCode: 0x80048D1D
Message: The user (userId) selected in the From field does not have the option enabled to allow other users to send the email on their behalf. See https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?linkid=2007131
    TimeStamp: 2023-07-31T06:25:37.2240444Z

It is usually referring to the solution below.

You cannot send email as the selected user error - Dynamics 365 Sales | Microsoft Learn

This step is necessary but not enough as it seems. What I guess is that the flows in dynamics are connected with the user the portal was created or administrated with. Just changing the from: inside the mailtemplate won't work and you will still face the issue.

The solution was to go into the exchange admin center and give the user mentioned above the rights to send mails. But it must be done inside exchange as well as in dynamics to work properly. A bit strange for me, but it's finally solved.
