Hi folks,

I am facing one issue i.e., i am getting below mentioned error in flow when i send for approval to other users except Owners.

Error:

The request failed. Error code: 'UserNotMemberOfCdsSecurityGroup'. Error Message: 'The user 'Jake.Varney' cannot be created in CDS because the account is not a member of group 'SharePoint Workflow Retirement'. Please ask an administrator to add user to the group.'.

This sounds a lot like the XrmApplyUserNotMemberOfSecurityGroup error from this Microsoft support article.

The CDS database for this environment is protected by a security group. An owner of the security group will need to add all approval creators, requestors, and recipients to the security group. The security group can be configured from the Power Platform Admin Center.

Can you check if the user is added to the security group of the environment/cds database?

In our case Dynamics 365 CE, we were using Security Group for that environment, we added the user as the member of the security group and it fixed the issue for us -https://nishantrana.me/2021/11/01/fixed-error-code-usernotmemberofcdssecuritygroup-error-message-the-user-xyz-cannot-be-created-in-microsoft-dataverse-because-the-account-is-not-a-member-of-group-abc/
