Is there a role that allows external users add new users to the portal and manage their own delegates? Eg. we may have external users that we have direct contact with that need to log into the portal to view the information they need to or alternatively, we will have an Indirect customer who will managed their end users to log in, but to the portal we've created. However, the roles and their details would be managed by the Company we have direct access too. Is something like this possible with Portals?

Hi. Yes this is something you can achieve.

Basically Portal users are represented by Contact records in your Dataverse. So you can have a page (maybe restricted by only a specific Web Role) where an user can create other users. Then you can use classic Workflows or Power Automate to start an Invitation process to invite those contact to join the Portals.

Things you should be looking at are:

Web Roles/Entity Permissions

Invitation process

Workflows/Power Automate

Would recommend when you do it that you don't give direct access to the Web Roles (so you don't end up with a security hole where an external user can assign a Web Role that is not intended for them) - We usually do a dropdown and then use a Workflow to assign the respective Web Role based on the selected dropdown value.
