Trigger workflow when going to next step in an advanced form

Hi all,

I have constructed an advanced from with two steps. When I go from step 1 to step 2 I want to be able to trigger a workflow - how is this possible?

For the build in "Next" button there is no easy way to connect it to a workflow. And if I construct a specific button for the workflow I cannot redirect to the next step but only to sites.

Hope that you can help, thanks in advance!

    Hi @Anonymous

Technically in advanced form when you go from one step to the next step,  the data is actually saved in the dataverse.

I haven't tried workflow. But using power automate the Dataverse connector. When the record is saved, you can trigger the following and then perform the action.

    1. search for Microsoft Dataverse (legacy) connector

    2. Select "when a row is added"

    3. Perform an action

    Hope it helps.

Hi @Anonymous did Ragavan's solution solve your problem? please let us know if you need any further help with this

if you need this to be sync, you would have to use classic Workflows or Plugins, an easy way to trigger this is to either use a column from your step that you know it's only updated on that specific step, or use Advanced Form Metadata to set a Column that will trigger the Workflow/Plugin
