Hi,

I am attempting to create a flow, where, form responses are saved to a SharePoint list, the flow keeps failing at the final stage of retrieving the attachment from the form responses and adding them to the list item. I can confirm the folder path is accurate. I see that the flow has picked up the 3 attachments I included my test however I receive the following error:

Error
Action 'Get_file_content_using_path' failed:
Unable to process template language expressions in action 'Get_file_content_using_path' inputs at line '0' and column '0': 'The template language function 'json' expects its parameter to be a string or an XML. The provided value is of type 'Object'. Please see https://aka.ms/logicexpressions#json for usage details.'.

Hoping someone could assist.

Thanks.

Can you please show us what you are passing the input to that action? As it is in Apply to each, the correct format will be something like items('Apply_to_each_1')?['FieldName']

make sure you are passing it correct and you can also check by placing compose action before to file content action and check is that returning correct output?

I suspect there is an issue with your parameters. Most probably you are using wrong Dynamic content.
Unfortunately provided information is not enough to determine or resolve it.

As a workaround you can try to use:

Get Files (Properties only) with Filter Query -
FileLeafRef - is a hidden parameter which consists of Filename.Fileformat (example: Document.PDF)

After which you can use Get file content with identifier from Get Files (properties only).

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Everyone,

Thank you for your feedback, I am very new to Power Automate and identified my error, while I had specified the file path I had not selected a file from the folder. Once I corrected this the flow worked perfectly.

    Thanks again.
