"The request is blocked" when submitting form on Power Pages site

Hello everyone,

I have a Power Pages site in the Production stage. There's a multi-step form that users will fill out and submit. It was working perfectly, then I began getting an error page saying, "The request is blocked." when anyone tries to submit the form. I've cleared all cookies and cache, as well as trying on different browsers and computers. The issue briefly went away when I switched the site from the "Prototype" Development Status to the "Live" Development Status but has since returned.

There were no changes made to the site between when it worked and when the issue began.

Any ideas on what could be causing this and how to fix it?

Thanks!

    Hi @jfitzpatrick,

    is the error still occuring?

Are you using Power Portals or the new Pages?

    Hi @Lucas001,

The error stopped occurring this morning, although I have no idea why. I'm not sure what you mean by if I'm using Power Portals or the new Pages. I have been using the Pages Design Studio for most of my development, but occasionally I will make changes in the Portal Management - I made the multistep form in the Portal Management. Is that what you're looking for?

    Hi @jfitzpatrick,

sometimes it is like that as microsoft seems to do things in the background.

Power Portals are using the prefix adx_ , the new Pages with enhanced datamodel use mspp_ .

What I experiences myself is, that the new version of PowerPages have more issues like you got.

Please mark your post as solved, so others don't have to dig deeper into the topic.

Este problema se puede presentar si tienes habilitada la opcion Web Application Firewall.

Sugiero que se desactive y verifiques que el error no vuelva a aparecer.

I am having this issue with a minority of anonymous users who are trying to submit a form with an attachment -- when they omit the attachment, it submits successfully.  Per @CharliePrieto86 's suggestion, I am turning off Web Application Firewall until I can look at some logs.

Site was creating using new Page, activated with CDN and WAF turned on. Problem is not every user, not every attachment.

    @StewC ,

Did you find a resolution to the issue of attachments giving users request is blocked warning?

@rsolis12212 ,  turning off Web Application Firewall for the site did resolve the problem. I did not ask the original blocked submitters to resubmit, as a test, but I have since had several dozen submissions-with-attachments without any blocking. (I decided that learning how to write special allow/block rules, so that I could turn WAF back on, was more than I wanted to tackle right now.)

For anyone unsure about how or where to disable the Firewall (temporarily of course): Configuring a File Upload Column on Your Power Pages Portal - Pizza and Power Apps
