Hello,

I have a power pages site i am currently developing. I would like to be able to have certain users be able to view the site while it is being developed but not be able to edit or adjust the site.

Whats the best approach to this?

    Hi there,

Yes, you can. From the Power Pages development studio, you can share access with specific users. Sharing access doesn’t grant them edit permissions—just viewing rights. Simply search for their names and grant the appropriate access.

Also, don’t forget to send proper invitations to the users who will access your site, or configure the page to allow authenticated users if you're using Entra ID for authentication.

If you want more information about site visibility and hsaring access please refer to https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-pages/security/site-visibility?tabs=new

    Hi @SAOSteve,

can you check the answer @Giraldoj provided?
That's probably what you are searching for. In case you want to set your page live you could also use webroles and assign those to users which should be able to see certain testpages.

    Hi,

Power Pages site visibility settings to control access during development.
    1. Set the Site to Private
In Power Pages Studio, go to Security → Site Visibility.
Set the site to Private so only authorized users can access it.
    2. Grant View-Only Access
In the Site Visibility settings, add users who should have access.
These users will be able to view the site but won’t have editing permissions.
    3. Restrict Editing Permissions
Ensure that only site makers and admins have editing rights.
Users with System Administrator roles in Dataverse can modify site settings.
    4. Use Web Roles for Additional Control
If needed, create a custom web role that allows users to view but not edit.
Assign this role to users who need access during development.
