Hello,
The use case I have is that whenever an email comes into an inbox I need a Jira ticket to create. If the email coming in happens to be a reply, and thus a Jira ticket had already been created, I need that email reply to be added as a comment on the existing Jira ticket (rather than creating a new ticket). Does anyone know of a way to do this?
My initial thought was to have the conversationID of the email added to the Jira ticket when it creates, and then having some sort of connector that allows to search Jira using JQL to see if that conversationID already exists. If so, then having the reply added to that ticket containing that conversationID. When looking at the Jira connector I don't see any action that allows that JQL search action. There is an action labeled "Get list of issues" that says "This operation returns a list of issues using JQL.", but there isn't a section to add any JQL. I do see that there is a connector labeled "JIRA Search (Independent Publisher)" that could work, but it most likely won't be approved by my company and is currently blocked due to DLP Policy. Any help is appreciated!
