Hi all. I have a requirement to be able to give D365 internal users access to a Power Pages web page without them having to log in to Power Pages. Is this possible? If so please let me know how.

Anonymous users are just that - non authenticated visitors to your site (basically public access).  To give permissions to any non-authenticated visitor you can use the out of the Box Web Role: Anonymous Users (or you can create your own role and tick a checkbox on it - but only 1 Web Role must have the checkbox checked).  Ticking the checkboxes on the Web Role means that users will inherit that Web Role (it is not directly assigned to the users) - you need to remember that these are anonymous users so you cannot serve them records that are specific to Accounts or their Contact record (unless they are logged into the Portal).

    Hi Fubar

Thanks for taking time to answer my question. This is the scenario I am trying to implement. Our D365 internal users are presented with a ribbon button on an entity records. When they click on that button, some JS code runs which displays a popup window and navigates it to a specific Power Pages web page, which in turn shows some information about that record (and related records) to the user in a specific format. Our users should be able to see that web page in the popup window without having to log in to Power Pages.

How can I achieve this scenario using anonymous user role or by any other means?

First question should be - is the information that you want to display Public info?

If no - your user needs to be logged in.

If yes - create table permissions for the table the data is in, assign the Table Permission to a Web Role that has the Anonymous checkbox ticked (making sure there is only 1 Web Role with anonymous ticked)
