Relationship is not working in the tables !!

Hi everyone,

I got a problem that my relationship between contacts and "Application Test" table is not working. I have defined the relationship using lookup column. When I signIn and fill the form in "Application Test", it is successful. But when I try to check "User Name" which is a lookup column from the "Contact" table, it is blank. I am not sure why it is not working. Below snapshots explain the scenario.

UserName column is blank:

Can you please guide me on this?

@Lucas001 , @saudali_25 , @ragavanrajan    I think you can easily solve this. Please check this as I believe I am making a simple mistake. Thanks!

Kind Regards,

Hafiz

    Hi @Anonymous ,

could you shortly give us a screenshot of your form, just to see if it is setup correctly?

Are you populating the field yourself, the question was raised some topics ago.

The relationship as well as the setup of your tables looks good to me.

    Hi @Anonymous ,

Assuming your User Name (Individual Lookup) column is null after your application is submitted.

Portal doesn't save contact information by default when we create a record from Portal until configuration/script is added to set Lookup column. Please follow these steps:

    1. Go to Portal Management App
    2. Open your targeted form (Assuming you're using Basic form, but you can set it for Web Form as well)
    3. Go to Additional Settings
    4. Navigate to sections Associate Current Portal user on Insert
    5. Check Associate Current Portal User
    6. Select your created column (e.g., User Name) in Portal User Lookup Column
    7. Save & sync your changes!

After adding this configuration, your lookup column would be filled on submission of Application Test form.

Feel free to ask, if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Saud
