Okay, I've built PowerApps all day and everyday for a while now using SharePoint Lists as my source. I've finally taken the plunge into Dataverse because it just makes more sense due to the relational nature of tables as well as security. However, I've become quite frustrated as it appears there is no column in Dataverse that's similar to the Location column in SharePoint. I've searched for over an hour now with no luck in finding a solid answer or solution. I just want my users to be able to type in an address and it give them an address to select from the dropdown just like in the SharePoint Location Column.
Can someone just come out and tell me I'm hosed and there is no such column in the Dataverse Columns, or educate me?
If there is no column, what's the recommended "workaround" (there are far too many of these scenarios with Microsoft btw) to get this to work? Although this is a column within a table, the end user will ultimately enter and update this address column in a PowerApp I connect to the data. Maybe there's a middle ground where the user can enter the address in PowerApps and the Patch or Form can enter the returned address as text in the "Project Address" column I create?
I have not run across this and it looks promising. The import procedure looks daunting, but I'll attempt it and see what happens. If this ends up working I'll mark as solution. Thanks for the lead!!!
Hi @forbudt4u ,
Have you looked at the following PCF control that might help you in this case? https://pcf.gallery/address-autocomplete/
