Portal Forgot your Password - Unknown Failure

Hi Experts,

 

I am facing one issue related to forgot password i.e it is throwing an error saying:
An unknown failure has occurred. Error ID # [de2f9e32-9a5b-4cc4-ad55-d22050c4bf31]

 

I have gone through the below link to get some solution but it is not clear to me what exactly the solution will be. According to the link, it seems the contact whose owner is "System" they are not able to set the new password from the portal as System Owner is not having a valid email id to use in "From" while sending mail to reset the password.

Please help me with this issue. Any help will be appreciable.

    Hi @Anonymous 

    - Change the owner of the contact except 'SYSTEM' 

    - Clear the cache and try again.

    Yes, I came to know that from the link which I mentioned in my post but there are lots of contacts created and manually change of owner will be a tedious job. Is there any better solution to the automatic change of owner solution?

    You can also change the owner using Workflow or Power Automate or Console Application.

    Hi @hardikv @OliverRodrigues 

     

    I have followed the steps mentioned in the blog to reassign the records but I can't see the effect post that change. Still, the Owner is showing "System". I have restarted the portal also. Is there any step which I am missing.

    And Also If I make the change which is mentioned in the blog, then does it apply to the new Contact also?
