I’ve encountered a bug in Power Apps Portal and would appreciate some help on how to resolve it.
Here’s the issue:
- On the login page of the portal, when a contact (who is not registered in the portal) enters their email address, the portal checks if this email exists in the associated Dynamics 365 CRM.
- If a CRM contact with that email already exists, the system automatically populates the username field with that email, even though the user is not a registered portal user.
This causes confusion because the portal assumes that the contact is trying to log in with an existing portal account, but no such account exists for this contact.
I would like to prevent the portal from auto-filling the username field with the email address from the CRM contact unless the user is a registered portal user. How can I achieve this? Has anyone else faced this issue, and what would be the best approach to resolve it? Any advice on configurations or custom code would be greatly appreciated!
