Use templates to create a portal or not?

Good morning, I hope you are well.

I have a question regarding the use of power pages, what template or how do you recommend creating a new portal?

The thing is that I have created several portals and I have had quite a few problems since it cannot generate all the dependencies that the portal needs, I created one with the "Site design 001" template, and I had a problem with the tables since I was relating the virtual tables to the standard tables that he creates. The main problem was with the roles since I couldn't create new roles or assign them to contacts so they were in different, unrelated tables.

Then I created another portal with a new "Community" template and this one created all the missing dependencies, but then my question is, is it recommended to use a template to create a portal that I am going to customize or create a blank portal?

Hi @Brayan1,

I don't remember where I read it some time ago, could even be with portals back than. But somebody suggested using template 3, has been a blue one in the past. It also was not the default one right now. In my case all pages did work so far.

I suppose you used this template, I used the same one, however I have created sites with it and what I am telling you, they have not generated the correct dependencies, to the point that I have had to recreate environments

Hi @Brayan1,

as far as I know this is the new default. It was different in the past.

I would recommend using another one with the same layout as the default.

Maybe that solves the issue.

Good morning, I solved the problem by deactivating the improved model in the environment, this is because if templates other than dynamics are used with this model, it uses the tables with the registered name "adx" and those have caused me problems for the moment. When I disabled the option, I started creating the portals with the standard models.
