We are using Dynamics 365 for law firm practice management. When we are doing a deal involving multiple parties, we create a record in a custom entity/table called Project. We then create connections between the Project record and the account or contact records that are involved. For example, if our client named Acme were doing a Project called "Merger" in which Acme were acquiring Apex and Zenith, there would be two connection records: one to Apex and one to Zenith, both of which have account records in D365. (We wouldn't have a connection record to Acme, because client is already a field within the Project record.)
Now I want to create a Dataverse search that would allow users to search for Apex or Zenith and identify them as parties to the Merger record. I have created a solution that includes the Quick View views for the Account, Contact, Project, and Connections tables. But when I look at the tables that will be used for Dataverse search, Connections is not included, and I don't see a way to add it manually. Does this mean that the Connections table cannot be indexed and searched with Dataverse search? I already have a view of Connections in the site map that people can use, but I want to allow users to search this view simultaneously with other record types.
