Lookup Issue in Safari: Form in Subgrid

In my Portal I have a subgrid with an Edit Basic Form inside. The form is long, and you have to scroll down inside of the popup to reach some of the fields.

If you click a lookup field in this Edit form, and are partially scrolled down the edit form, the lookup field opens (a popup in a popup), but you can't interact with it at all. You also can't scroll up the edit form while the lookup is open. The only way to interact with the page is to hit Esc. See attached.

If you are at the top of the form when you click a lookup field, it works fine - it's only when you're scrolled partway down.

This is only an issue on Safari. I was wondering if anyone had similar issues.

    Hi @Anonymous

FYI. Portal currently utilizes Bootstrap 3 and jQuery 3. Some of the CSS 3 properties are modern browser based. Done my little analysis and the lookup field is utilising Modal CSS property. To go in-depth you can use https://caniuse.com/?search=modal

Adding a screenshot for reference. As you can see Modal support for Safari is there but support is known.

This means if you do cross-browser testing Modal can appear but the overall Global usage is relatively low.

Enough of my story, kind of boring to you.

In a nutshell, Please try to use either chrome or edge as it is highly supported. If your use case is safari then please raise a ticket with Microsoft.

Personally, I think when the portal bootstrap is upgraded in the upcoming release then there is a high chance new flexbox, grid, and new properties may override this modal.

    Hope it helps.

Thank you so much, that's helpful. I did find your usage support story helpful! I decided to have the Edit Basic Form visit a Webpage with the form on it rather than open the form on the same page.
