Assign form data to the customer who filled it out.

Hello experts!
I am creating a portal in which the user will fill out a request form. Once completed, he will be able to view the status of the request on another page (A list field) on the portal. The problem is that I can't make it appear just his request, and all requests, from all customers, appear. How do I restrict her screen to appear only the requests he made?

Hello @Anonymous ,
Can you please specify what do you mean by a list field? Do you mean a lookup rendered as a dropdown? If so and if your user should only have access to records related to him the easiest option will be to use Entity Permissions (check this doc). Just setup Contact level permission and select proper relationship.

If you would like more dynamics filtering possibilities you can check my blog post about custom lookup filtering. It requires usage of some JavaScript and web template creation with liquid.

If you were referring to Entity List instead there is an easier way - on the entity list scroll to Filter Conditions section. There you can select by which attribute from your contact to filter list. You can find more about entity list in this official doc.
