Hi Team,

We created few Mobile Apps by using SQL Server Data Source and later i try to connect new data source and it is asking to upgrade the Plan.We are using Office 365 Business Premium.

1. Sql Server will not support in Office 365 Business Premium.??

2. If we buy one license "Run single apps" whether the O365 user will be able to run the app.

Regards

    Hi @BibinTV ,

So the SQL connector is currently a premium conector.

As such you will need to have a license that allows you to run PowerApps with premium connectors.

Currently the license you have are the following:

    • PowerApps per app plan. Allow individual users to run applications for a specific business scenario based on the full capabilities of PowerApps. Pricing will be $10 user/app/month.
    • PowerApps per user plan. Equip individual users to run an unlimited number of apps, without any feature restrictions. This takes the place of existing P1 and P2 plans and will be $40 /user / month.

A brief description of the plans is also available in the Licensing Guide as seen in the image bellow:

Office licenses are what is called Seeded Licenses which do not allow you access to premium connectors:

As such you would need to get either a Per app plan or a Per user plan depending on your business needs.

Hope this helped clarify any doubts you might have had!

    Regards,

    Ricardo

    Hi Rimatos,

I need little more clarity on this,

Assume that i purchased one Per app plan or a Per user plan and developed an app with premium connector. Will it possible to run for Office 365 uses or i have to purchase user wise license to run the app??

    Hi @BibinTV ,

So if the app you create has premium connectors in it (e.g. SQL connector), you will need to have a license that provides access to premium connectors (per app or per user) in order to be able to run the app.

This means that each user that will need to use the app with premium connectors, needs to have a license assigned to them.

    Hope this helps!

    Regards,

    Ricardo
