A Sharepoint integration feature not working on a Profile page?

Hi there,

My customer needs to realize a scenario, when an authenticated user (a contact) is able to upload documents to a contact-related Sharepoint folder. My idea was to use a Profile page, which is nothing less then a contact form (a Profile Web form). I have customized a Profile Web form first (I have included a Documents subgrid there) and I walked through all the necessary steps according to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/portals/manage-sharepoint-documents. Nevertheless, while I succeeded in displaying related Sharepoint documents in other entities' Web pages (Account, Opportunity), I failed with a Profile page. There is still only an error message  "You don't have permission to display fields and folders..." displaying. Is this page somehow special? Any idea how to solve it?

Thank you

Jan

    Solved!!

what was missing: entity permission for Contact and maybe for the Document location (I have inserted both). Now it is there, the result is elegant and as desired (see the attached screenshot).

    Hi @JanVanek ,

Do you want to enable "SharePoint Integration" in Power Portal or D365 CRM Form?

Do you want to display the related documents within the Profile web page?

If you want to display the related documents within the Profile web page in your Portal, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in PowerApps currently.

Currently, the "SharePoint document management" functionality is bind to Entities in CDS, and the related documents could only be displayed within Entity forms related to corresponding CDS Entity. The Profile web page is a pre-defined (built-in) web page in Portal, which is not related to any CDS Entity, so you could not enabled the "SharePoint document management" feature within Profile page.

If you would like this feature to be added in your powerApps, please consider submit an idea to PowerAppd Ideas Forum:

Hi @v-xida-msft , as you can see in my previous post, it works now. The Profile page is linked to a contact entity.

    Hi @JanVanek ,

It's my fault. I have missed that the user signed in your Portal is stored in Contacts Entity in Portal Managment.

Congratulations! If you have solved your problem, please consider go ahead to click "Accept as Solved" to identify this thread has been solved.

Glad this worked for you! Let me know if you see that the documentation could be improved for this one, especially around providing requisite permissions
