I want to use one flow and two sharepointlists to create an email flow that reminds people to check in. The time the employee is scheduled to work will be in list1. There is another flow that will check whether the employee is working today. If working, the "daily working status" will be changed to working. , the employee's check-in information and time are stored in the second list. I created a flow. After the first getitems, a judgment will be made. If the "daily working status" column in list1 is equal to "working", then proceed Next getitems, use the information in list2 to compare again. If the staffname in list2 is equal to the staffname in list1, and the check in time is equal to today, the flow will end. If not, the flow will send an email to the email address recorded in list1. I encountered The problem is that every time I use data from previous stepflow directly, a foreach will be automatically added outside. Because both tables have multiple items, flow will send hundreds of email reminders at a time, but I only want to send one.
@aasdttmo The logic of your flow needs to be adjusted. To better understand how the Apply to Each action works, refer to this YT Tutorial: 3 Mistakes YOU 🫵 are Making with the Apply to Each Action in your Microsoft Power Automate Flow
In this video tutorial I’ll go over how to avoid these common mistakes when using the Apply to Each action in a Power Automate flow:
1️⃣ Looping through a Single Item
2️⃣ Creating Unnecessary Nested Loops
3️⃣ Looping through an Unfiltered Array
At the end of the video I share a few helpful insights when it comes to using the Apply to Each action in your flow.
I'll also cover:
✅ How to avoid the Apply to Each action with a single item array
✅ How to use the item() function to access dynamic content in an array
✅ How to prevent unnecessary nested Apply to Each action loops

For your flow, you will most need to use the Filter Array action. To learn more about that action, refer to this YT Tutorial: Are you using the Microsoft Power Automate Filter Array Action wrong?
In this video tutorial I’ll show you 3 practical ways to use the Filter Array action and how to use it properly.
1️⃣ Cross-Referencing Data
2️⃣ Filtering by Key
3️⃣ Substring Matching
Did you know that the Condition action has a limit of 10 conditions? Although it might look like the Filter Array action can only accept one condition—this is not true. By using the advanced mode you can enter multiple conditions into a Filter Array action with an expression.
