Save JSON to SharePoint Document Library Columns

Hello PP Community,

I've created a flow (can see from the link below) that takes an email with multiple file attachments and identifies the PDF file and JSON file, it saves the PDF file to a SharePoint Document and then populates multiple metadata columns on the same row of the PDF. The flow works perfectly for me every time, but I have a client in Europe that has setup the flow exactly as I have but always has an issue.

They created a separate document library to receive the files so has full permission in SharePoint.
The PDF file saves to the document library without issue.
The error is always at the last step of adding the JSON meta data to the SP Document Library.
The record ID of the PDF file is saved to a variable after the PDF file is saved to the document library.
I've confirmed the ID is being saved to the variable as part of the flow run output.

I welcome any thoughts or feedback on any other areas to troubleshoot.

Hi,

I have went through the link shared to understand the flow design.

So coming to your query- could you please what error you are facing in the flow - while updating columns details using update file properties action ?

Understand it's impossible to debug something without any real details. Clearly there is a different, but the person's flow isn't shared, and the error isn't shared.

Hello Nived_Nambiar and FLMike, here is a screen shot of the results from the flow. It shows as a success, but the meta data columns were not populated. Let me know if you need further details.

Hi,

The reason why the below properties (from the screenshot of blog) would be null can be of following reasons:

1. I think these dynamic content may be null - could you check the output of parse json action?

2. Also show the json structure of these dynamic content as well in case 1st was not exact reason, because i saw sometimes in new power automate designer, json expression behind the dynamic content were wrongly generated- which causes this issue- could you check that as well ?
