Primary Column

For the Primary column in both the Shelter and Foster Family tables - is it possible to make the primary column a autocount? Seems like the logical solution, but I'm not seeing the option.

    There is.... not an autocount field in Dataverse, not the way you think about 1,2,3,4,5
     
    If its SharePoint, it has its ID field which is an autocount field that in fact is 1,2,3,4,5
     
    There is a dataverse one... but again its doesn't work like what you seem to want its a string that you give a format too

    Hi,

    Yes, you can assign the field as an autonumber.

    For the Shelter table, set the shelternumber field as an autonumber and configure it as follows:

    • Prefix: S
    • Length: 2
    • Starting count: 1

    This will generate shelter numbers in the format:
    S-01, S-02, and so on.

    @CU04022350-0s answer below is correct. To add to what you're saying about you not seeing this option, it should appear beneath the Data type dropdown. Are you not seeing that option?
