Portal local login register redirecting to home page

Hi Guys,

In default portal sign in page, when I click on Register, it is redirecting to the Home page. Ideally, it should go to

/Account/Login/Register?returnUrl=%2F. In Inspect element also, I can see that under <ul><li> element, the correct URL is present for Register navigation. Can you please let me know where to update this URL change in portal? I have attached the screenshot for the sign in page I am referring to.

Hi @Pruss10 ,

Do I understand you correctly that when you hit Register button it is redirecting you to a home page instead of navigating to Register page? If so can you please check if your site setting Authentication/Registration/OpenRegistrationEnabled is set to true?

Hi @OOlashyn , also if click on Redeem invitation, give the code and click on Register, it is redirecting me to the correct URL, i.e., /Account/Login/Register?returnUrl=%2F as expected. The issue comes up only when I click on Register from sign in navigation.

you can't see this page at all, is that it?

what happens if you force the URL on the browser? /Account/Login/Register

by any chance did you add any JS to the Content Snippet used in the Register page?

Hi @Pruss10 ,

Sorry for the long reply. If you don't have any custom code or snippet that change the url I would advise you to open a support ticket, as in that case it clearly looks like a bug.

Hi @OliverRodrigues , if I force the URL on the browser, it works fine. The issue comes up when I click on Register besides Sign In navigation. If I hover over it, it says 'Home' and on click, redirects to home page. But if I get the invitation code and click on Redeem invitation->register button, it works fine and redirects to register page correctly.

I also have this same issue for Breadcrumbs where if I click on any crumb, it always redirects me to the home page.

I have also not added any custom javascript to the content snippets used in Register page.

Hi @OOlashyn , seems I clicked on Accept Solution by mistake. Yes, I do not have any customcode added or any snippet which should change the url. I can open a support ticket.

@Pruss10 very unlikely but would you have done any weird customization to the CSS that could be causing the issue to both breadcrumb and sign-in links?

I unmarked that as solution.. sorry @OOlashyn 🙈

Hi @OliverRodrigues , no css changes have been made to bootstrap or theme files. I have made some css changes in web pages/entity forms to make some font related changes, but I do not recall making any weird changes.

Hi @OliverRodrigues and @OOlashyn , this issue was caused due to a company logo (whose HREF was pointing to Home URL) which was added into the Navbar left content snippet. Due to some image dimension issues, the invisible part of it was overlapping over the breadcrumbs and also the Register/Sign in options, hence, on click of the breadcrumbs or Register/Sign in, it was always going back to the Home page. Adding correct logo with proper css fixed it.
