Hi Everyone,
I can see other people have asked similar questions to this but not exactly the same and I can't see any relevant answers.
I have created a Flow to copy one folder from one SharePoint site to another. We have the live folder and the copy folder, users accessing the live folder do the work on the files and the users accessing the copy folder only open the files to get information. It is important that two users don't try and open the same file at the same time. User working on the live files have set files to work on so conflicts wouldn't happen and the same with the copied files. The issue occurs if someone is working on a live file and another user who wants to look up information opens the file at the same time, hence the two copies to avoid conflicts.
I have set up the flow as follows:
Recurrence: Daily at 11pm
Copy Folder:-
Current Site Address: Is the current site address
Folder to Copy: /Shared Documents/Payroll
Destination Site Address: Is the destination site address
Destination Folder: /Shared Documents/Payroll/Payroll
If another folder is already there: Replace
This works great the first time when the copy folder is empty. The problem is every time after that the Flow reports it has completed successfully but none of the files inside the folder are updated.
Does anyone have any ideas why this is not updating the folders or what is a better way to set this up to work?
Thanks
Gavin
Good afternoon everyone.
I have setup a similar flow to the above however am having trouble renaming the copied folder ... instead of "Replace" I need rename however cannot find that option?
I have recreated the Flow and monitored it daily and it now seems to be doing what is should.
Thanks for your help!
Hi @SupportForce,
I tried to reproduce the flow you created, run it but not find the same issue.
I created serval new files in the original folder, then copy folder, these files could copy at the same time.
And if i update files, new version files also could copy.
