I know you can change the base url of a power page site. When you go to change the base url does it let you get rid of the powerappsportals.com. So, for example if my url was example.powerappsportal.com can it be changed to example.com?

    Hi @jeff_hamz ,

You can absolutely connect your custom domain for your Power Page site, please refer to: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-pages/admin/add-custom-domain

As far as you know is this the only way to get my custom domain? I would have to look into the SSL certificate. There is no way to do like a redirect from the powerappsportal.com to custom domain. I see there is a redirect tab in the portal management, but I am guessing thats only to redirect to other pages in the site

As far as I know, this is the only way. A client's browser (user) will require the server host to have an appropriately signed SSL cert with the custom domain included so that it can be trusted. You can get your own custom url (www.mysite.com) to redirect to the mysite.powerpages.com site but you're stuck with that powerpages.com domain unless you go custom domain. In one way, if powerpages domain is palpable, it saves you the over head of having to remember to renew certs each year. It may be worth your while trying to convince the powers that be on that.

    Hi @jeff_hamz ,

Connecting your Power Page Site to a custom domain is the only way to get rid of default powerpages.com domain. You need a signed certificate as well.  Please check out this article for complete details.

And you're right the Redirect tab in Portal Management App is to redirect user on different page.

Feel free to share if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Saud
