Hi, everyone,
Can anyone help me with this use case? Recent consultations and feedback gave me the direction of single users/contacts relating to multiple accounts. I've tested and noticed that the Company Name column in the contacts table only receives one entry. The idea that I have is to simply create multiple Company Names (lookup column) that would satisfy the need. And, on the relationship side of things, it would create multiple one-to-many relationships.
Is my approach correct? Thank you.
I haven't played around with Connections + Portals, not sure how Portals deals with connections.
Quick question @apangeles, can the same contact be part of multiple accounts? Have a think if you want you need is a 1:N or N:N.
There is an OOB 1:N relationship which you might be able to use, it's called Primary Contact, this is represented by a lookup in the Account table, and by a subgrid on the Contact table.
Hope this helps

Hi, Inogic, thank you for these resources. I'll test them out!
Hi,
I think you should use "Connections" for your scenario to link one contact with multiple accounts. You can refer this Microsoft document on Connections - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customerengagement/on-premises/developer/connection-entities?view=op-9-1
Also you can see the verified solution by "Lu Hao" in this community forum post who have same scenario as yours https://community.dynamics.com/365/sales/f/dynamics-365-for-sales-forum/403664/connect-contact-to-multiple-accounts
Hope this helps.
Thanks!
