I have an application in production mode (production environment) and the client wants to add some new features. What is the most appropriate method to do this?
Do I edit directly in the production environment?
Or export the solution and import it into a development environnement and makes changes and then import it into the production environment again?
@gikido, no, all the security modeling and apps sharing configuration stay the same. You won't have to do any of that if the solution has already been deployed and configured before into production. Now, when you change the apps features or developed any new features in the development environment, you just need to import the solution and that will update your apps with the new features.

So after reimport the solution to the production environnement I need to share the apps again with users with a new link?
Hello, @gikido, first of all as best practice, you should only import Solution as Managed solutions (can't be edited) in production. So, to answer your question, yes, you should make the edits in Developer environment and then export the solution and reimport into the production environment.
