While making forms I don't see an option to select 2 columns, only 1 column

How do I bring in the option select 2 columns?

    You have to select the section first, not the control within it. once you choose 2 columns, you will have the option

    @stampcoin is spot on, soo please mark their answer.
     
    When it comes to Format Layout,  you must think in terms of, "container layouts" not "control layouts".
     
    As Stampcoin showed, this is how it is for Model Driven Apps. Its fairly... limited as it relates to "squares lol are all you get" and playing with width , heights, columns, you name it, can be a PITA when you first start.
