Shared app does not appear in recipient's Apps list

I created a Canvas app, built from a SharePoint Online list.  It works fine. I saved and published it.  When I look at the version history, that version shows as "Live."  So far, so good.

I shared it with someone else in my company domain and checked the box for them to receive an email.  That also seemed work.  The recipient received the email and was able to run the app from that link; they could add & edit data.  This is terrific!

BUT the app does not appear in the recipient's list of apps in Power Apps screen.  Seems like it should. (or not?)

I tried having them change the view from "My apps" to "Org apps" but it made no difference.

We refreshed the screen, logged out and back in, waited 30 minutes (an eternity in the computer world!) but no luck.

QUESTIONS:

  1. Is a shared app supposed to show up there?
  2. If not there, does it show up elsewhere? (similar to the "Shared with me" screen in Power BI Service)
  3. If not, then--other than the email--is there any way for a user to see the list of apps that they can use which others have created and shared with them?
  4. Finally, is there a way to make an app domain wide (and inform the domain of users)?  In the share screen, my initial action was to share with "Everyone in [my domain]", but it did not appear for anyone and no one received the email, even though I had checked the box.

Thank you! 🙂

    Hi @WillBeeSea,

    It is an known issue.

Apps that are created from the SharePoint are automatically shared with the organziation, and are intended to be shared and consumed as public views in the SharePoint list.  By default, these apps are hidden from users in the PowerApps iOS/Android/Windows/web clients.  Your users should be able to consume these apps in the following ways:

    1. Launch the app from the view of the list: see https://powerapps.microsoft.com/tutorials/open-app-embedded-in-sharepoint/.

    2. You can share the app directly to the users by either entering their email address OR a security group that they are a part of, and then your users should be able to see the app show-up in their iOS/Android/Windows/web clients.

    3. Share a direct web link to your app and your users can open the app in the web player

Any app shared with the user or with the organization should be visibile in "All Apps". I tested it just now and it is working.
