Page Visibility issue when applying page permission

Hi,

I have two pages in the portal: "User Config" for admin users and "Location Config" for non-admin users. I've set permissions so only users with the 'AdminRole' can access the "User Config" page and only users with the 'NonAdminRole' can access the "Location Config" page. The permission setup appears to be configured correctly, but users with the 'NonAdminRole' can still access the "User Config" page regardless of these settings.

Can anyone solve this issue because I didn't get any proper reply from the MS?

    A) Confirm the Web Page Access Control Rule is configured correctly.  Use the Portal/Power Pages Management App and then check the Web Page Access Control Rule and confirm it is set to Restrict Read.  Then Confirm that that Rule is attached to the appropriate Web Role.
    B) If (A) appears to be correct confirm the Web Roles. Again use the Portal/Power Pages Management App - the Web Roles have a checkbox on them for Anonymous and Authenticated - these checkboxes are used to set inheritance (i.e. if checked users can inherit the permissions from the role even though it is not assigned to them). Also, you should only ever have a checkbox ticked on one Web Role (e.g. if you have 2 Web Roles and they both have Authenticated checked the system will only inherit from 1 of them and it will choose which one). Check to make sure users aren't inheriting the permissions that you don't want them to have.

    Hi Fubar,

Thank you for the guidance—it worked! The issue was due to permission inheritance. I’ve now disabled the Authenticated and Anonymous checkboxes, which resolved the problem.

    Thanks again!
