Add HTML controls onto Dataverse form without linking to a column?

Hi, I'm just wondering if it is possible to add additional HTML controls, like checkbox, text box, or even a text blob...etc onto a Dataverse form without it needing to be associated to any column in the table?

I am aware I can add additional HTML elements using Entity Form in Portal Management, but if I can add directly into Dataverse form then the controls will already be at the right place without me having to code in the extra wrapper elements in Entity Form.

Thank you for any suggestions.

Not if your intention is to store data to dataverse from them - dataverse will only accept fields that it is expecting to receive in the submission.
If it was for some other purpose, then on your Datavese form, you can add a Web Resource (that contains HTML) and position it on the form where you want it to display, and on the Portal Form or Step check the box for rendering web resources inline. Also you can append elements to the Portal's DOM via JavaScript/JQuery.
