Local authentication using CDS

Hi All,

I am trying to create a PowerApps portal in which users need to authenticate using CDS (Entities i.e different then Contacts Entities, we have our own created Entities) where the user will enter username and password (this column present in one the entities). How can I achieve that?
Furthermore, how to access the data for the particular logged-in user from CDS(Entities) to display its data in a form?

I didn't find any documentation on CDS(Entities) for local authentication portal development.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Default authentication on the Portal is contact based. And as far as I know, you cannot use any other entity for it. You can check out this post from @nhayduk about PowerApps Portals Authentication Overview for high-level details.
