Canvas App and external APIs

Hi

 

Does anyone have any links to useful documentation or videos about using an external API with a Canvas App?

 

My google searches aren't coming up with that I need

    Yes, that's the way. Build the form and send all the values by calling your API using custom connector.

    So I build the form myself and tie it all in with function code?

    @lee-martin ,

    You can call custom API as a function to do some action as per the documentation.

     

    I think you can't use it to create form.

    I know, that is not what I'm asking.

     

    When I use the dataverse I get a list of available fields if I'm creating a form for example.

     

    Does working with a custom api work in a similar way?

    Dataverse is in built connector. You can create canvas apps using dataverse.

    Connect your external API with custom connector and use it in your power apps.
