Dataflow Refresh Failure - SQL Server to Dataverse Table Using On Premise Gateway

Hello,

We have an on premise SQL server where we have many tables of data. We want to build apps using this data, and therefore want to load data from the SQL tables into Dataverse tables. We have an on premise gateway. We have built the connection, and built the dataflow such that it loads data into an existing table (I have tried loading into a new table as well but get the same error).

The dataflow successfully publishes but the refresh fails with the error:

"There was a problem accessing your storage account or content. Please verify it's configured correctly and reachable and try again later."

I am not an admin of the data gateway, unfortunately it is owned by our IT group and I am just a shared user of the gateway.

Any ideas?

I have the same question (0)

Hi Ahmed thank you for the reply.

Do you know what is the point of sharing connections then? If the admin of the gateway creates a connection, and they share it with me, I will still not be able to create a dataflow?

    Thank you

Hello, @garrettmrcreating new data sources with a gateway in dataflows requires Admin permission on the gateway. You can ask your IT department to create the Dataflows and load the data for you in Dataverse.
