Using the "Set content approval" action with custom approval responses

Hello,

I'm working on a content approval flow (For a selected file > start and wait for an approval) for a SharePoint library with one OOTB response option, "Approve" and 2 custom response options. I want to use the "set content approval" action to update the Approval Status column in my library with the appropriate response. I'm using a switch control pointing to the "Outcome of approval" with three cases: one for each response.

The problem is that, when testing the flow, I select the OOTB option "Approve," the approval status column is updated correctly, but when I select either of the custom options, the column is not updated. I'm confused, because the "set content approval" action offers the option to enter a custom value, so I would think it would work. I'm selecting "enter custom value" and typing the name of my custom response as it appears in the "start and wait for an approval" action and in the name of my "case." I'd appreciate any insight you can offer. Thanks!

Dawn

Then why is is there? That is abysmal UX.

    Hi @DawnatSIS ,

I'm afraid that the custom value is not supported in the "Set content approval status" action.

And the Enter custom value button could only be used to enter the choice Submit ,Approve and Reject.

    Best regards,

    Alice
