Power Page not displaying filtered records based on current user

Hi everyone!

Sorry if this has already been covered in the past as I haven't had any luck finding related posts to my scenario. I am fairly new to everything relating to Power Apps, but am currently playing around with the idea of using Power Pages as a replacement to our IT asset system.

I've made a dedicated Table for this through the Power Apps page with only a few records while I test everything out. What I have done so far is make a new Views list under the table ('Asset Data'), added in the required columns, one of which is named 'Assigned User' that looks up accounts via the system/built-in 'User' table. In this view I have made, Assigned User has a filter so that it only displays records based on the current logged in user. My problem is that when I add this View onto my Power Page and preview the page itself, it says that there aren't any records to display. The View and filter works perfectly fine when previewing it within the edit page for the View under Power Apps, but not within the Power Page I am building.

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, but I'd really appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction on how I can resolve this issue. 🙂

    Hi @SL25 ,

In Power Pages, you can filter records using Table Permissions. You can show records based on different level like (Account, Global etc.). What you're trying to do is not doable OOB using Power Pages but it will surely work for Power Apps.

You can achieve this using FetchXml to show specific records based on logged in user with your desired filters.

    Thanks

    Saud
