Portal: Import Contacts not showing up

We have a contacts Excel file exported from Contacts.

When I try to import contacts by going into portal management

1. Import from CSV

2. Pick the Contacts Excel file

3. Review Mapping > Finish import

It says it is successful but nothing is imported into contacts. Any help is appreciated.

That sounds unusual. By any chance would there be any plugin/workflow maybe preventing the contact to be created?

Are you updating the contacts or creating new ones? if Create, make sure there is no GUID reference there, if update make sure the GUIDs are correct.

Thanks @OliverRodrigues , I am creating new contacts and it always says import successful. Adding a screenshot for your reference.  Not sure what I am doing wrong. Is this the expected behavior?

Your screen shot is showing that you have 50 errors - you need to resolve these.  50 Items are processed but they are the errors.

Click on the Import Name and then look at the Errors tab to get an idea of why they were errors.  You then need to resolved them in your source file and try again.

Do you have any reference to a lookup in your CSV file? if yes, does that entity have multiple records with the same name? it could be a duplicate reference issue

like Fubar mentioned, open the details of your import report and you will see the errors

Can you show how you have the excel file?

Have you tried to delete the first columns of the excel? A , B and C that are hidden? (it happened to me once) also a print screen of the error would be helpful to understand what is the error

    Hi @pedrodecarvalh ,

Thanks that worked! There was a hidden column A,B,C . I deleted those hidden columns and it was all good.

Thank you @OliverRodrigues  and @Fubar  for your insights as well.
