Are Sharepoint Lists and Power Page Lists the same thing? Or, are you able to connect to a Sharepoint List in a Power Page?
I recognise that Power Page Lists are Tables not Microsoft Lists, but is there a way of the data being stored in a central location i.e. a Dataverse table? Or should the two be considered separate entities?
Thanks,
c.
Hi @chris_c1
Your understanding is correct. Dataverse is more than a database. Power pages licensing includes dataverse capacity

Hope it helps.

@ragavanrajan
Thank you for the pointers. much appreciated. I am exploring the options and began by thinking Sharepoint might be the way to go, but the more I look at Power Pages, the more this seems a better option.
As I understand it we could build a bunch of Dataverse tables (effectively building a Database) and then through forms and lists make the Power Pages a front end with the ability to restrict user access via validated accounts (or open pages).
Is my understanding correct?
Does the licensing separate for using Dataverse, and Power Pages, and Power Apps if you are using Forms, Lists and Pages/Sites? It is the licensing requirements that is the hardest to figure out from my experience.

Hi @chris_c1
The simple answer is Power Pages is backed up by the Dataverse Table. More interesting to read here.
If you want to connect your SharePoint list it is possible using Dataflow
i.e. actually a power query.
Starting with Dataverse is a good choice from my experience. Also, you will be paying a license for Power Pages anyway.
Hope it helps.
