Power Apps | Portal | Performance / Load / Stress test

Hi Experts,

My organization is building Power Apps portal application and we would like to do Load/Stress/performance test before we roll out application to production and we are looking for Microsoft products to do test and wherever I go I feel like I'm hitting wall. I looked Azure Devops / Visual studio (Microsoft deprecated load test) and I looked Azure application insights/Monitor(looks like they don't have load test but we can monitor live metrics/performance/other things ).. Please guide me if you know that we can do load/performance test from Microsoft products.

Thanks

S.P

    Hi @Shashankpuli ,

Please look at the below link which will give you some idea on performance testing.

    https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Apps-Portals/Peformance-Testing/td-p/531851

In addition, I personally use lighthouse performance testing from Google which allows to improve many things

    URL: https://web.dev/measure/

Alternatively, you can also enable lighthouse in Chrome Dev tools to see performance and user experience

    Hope it helps.

    Hi @Shashankpuli

Even though it is deprecated I think you can still run Visual Studio Performance Test locally, when I need to get some metrics, I run that with an Azure VM. Running locally it's not the same as the Azure DevOps agents, but really depends on what you need. If you need to be very precise/accurate with your test, don't go for that.

If you just need some metrics, I think it's a quick win.
