Power Pages Licensing for a Production Environment

Hi All,

I have a Website in a Developer Environment and I wanted to ask the administrator to enable a Production environment , still some licensing is kind of confusing of what I need and what they need to do. Kindly apologize in advance if this question has been asked before, as the search function in the forum is not working for me.

The portal will not handle authenticated users and is using Dataverse as we ask for uploading for certain files, average expected external users can range from 60 to 90 visits monthly as the portal is not really general public is targeted to a specific workflow. Estimated use of Dataverse size for files in one year will be 1.5 GB.

Is the first time (both my side and administrators) going through the process from development to production and I would like to know is you have some general best practices for this. But our main issue is what kind of licensing we might need to enable for a production environment with such a external Portal / Website specs.

We are already users of Power Automate, Power Bi etc, meaning we already handle licensing for those environments.

In the first instance review the Power Pages section in the Power Platform Licencing Guide (link on this page) https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/pricing-billing-skus

The licencing guide will provide details on licencing and the base storage that comes with Power Pages. Note: there is also a Dataverse section in the Table of Contents that contains some information regarding Power Pages.

Power Pages Anonymous user subscriptions
Anonymous user subscription licenses are offered for the number of anonymous users who access a website and do not log in (if users will be logging in you will also need Authenticated user licencing). These licenses are offered through capacity packs with 500 users per capacity pack. Three tiers of pricing are offered. Once the minimum purchase requirement is met, additional packs can be purchased in units of 1.

There is also a pay as you go option.

Where it is a bit more difficult is the storage, and it is different for an Anonymous user subscription vs anonymous pay as you go. When you exceed the base storage you will need to purchase Dataverse Storage packs. With an anonymous subscription you are unlikely to exceed the base storage initially, but over time may need to add storage. with pay as you go you will need to purchase storage earlier.
