I am trying to copy list items from list A to list B which has many columns including multi-select choice and person.

I am have created a flow that copies the data from list A however in the Create Item part of the flow, selected values of all the rows is getting copied in each row. I have tried adding Set Variables [] in the final step, what it does it, it pastes all the selected values of each row into first row of that column.

How can I get this sorted?

Just a note for anyone wondering how I got this to work with great guidance from @creativeopinion  One is a multi-select choice field (Fruit) and the other is a multi-select person field (Assigned To)

@creativeopinion that did the trick. Thanks so much. What I didn't realize earlier is that you can have multiple selects and the output would automatically map to the right field in the Create Item. This is what I was asking earlier. An example of my current flow:

This has been a big help. Thanks so much.

@oxtail you need to change the input mode by clicking on the "T" icon to the right of the drop-down field, then insert the output from the Select action.

@creativeopinion I stand corrected. It was working. Now I'm not sure why I'm encountering the same issue user @nehar was seeing.

@creativeopinion This worked perfectly. Thanks so much. I only tested with one of my columns. I have about 3 columns that are multi-selects. Do I put an initialize variable before each Select? I've attempted to do this but get an error The operation 'Initialize variable' can only be used at top level.

@oxtail Yes. However, you will need to use a Claims key instead of a Value key—and the dynamic content must be an email address.

In the From field, you want to insert the dynamic content for the multi-person column. In the key field, enter Claims.

Important: When you select the email address dynamic content to insert into the value field. Power Automate will automatically nest the select action inside another Apply to Each action. I don't know why this happens—but it happens automatically.

You need to PULL your Select action outside of that automatically added Apply to Each action. Then delete that automatically added Apply to Each action (it's not needed).

Your Select action should be nested inside your Apply To Each action that is looping through each SP list item.

    Hope this helps!

@creativeopinion does this approach also work for a multi-select person column?

Re: Copy multi choice and person column from one list to another list using power automate

You need to use a key value in your Select action. With the key being Value.

It's exact copy of what you said in the conversation. But for my list it's showing data as= above screenshot with all [[ and quotes

What does your flow look like? Can you upload a screenshot?
