I've got a Power Pages Portal that I display Dynamics 365 data on but currently I have the following issue (I'm still new at this so please bare with me) I have a org that contains mulitple child BUs but when I try to read data that is owned by these BUs I cannot get them to display in the Portal. I've tried setting all of my permissions so Global but that still does not work.
The only thing that works is to move the data ownership to the very top but that is causing accessibily issues in Dynamics, any advise would be greatly appreciated ?
I think you can solve this issue by creating Security Roles for theses business unit and assign to the user who will need to see this data on the Power Pages.
Security concepts in Microsoft Dataverse - Power Platform | Microsoft Learn
You go to Settings (top right behind your name initials) and click in Advanced Settings.
In Dynamics 365 - Click Settings - Security - Security Roles
Create a new role - select the bussiness unit that you want to have access to.
When creating Click in Custom Entities to give permission to the tables you want.
