For the filter alignment you would need to override (!important) some CSS, but i do not recommend this as it is designed to be above to be better with the responsive design. There is more to this but at a basic level you need to change the display: block to being something else like display: inline !important, and then float: left !important on both of the label and ul tags inside the entity list filer li tag.
Similar with your column header, need to adjust the CSS and include the !important or override the existing styling (or do as an inline update using JavaScript/JQuery).
The difficulty with all of this is there is usually a lack of id's so you need to setup your CSS based on tags and classes and override the existing CSS with the !important keyword at the end of each line.
