Hi All,

Is there an option to extend the connector "Create Record (V3)" for MS Dynamics Business Central OnLine (SaaS)?

I have created a cloud flow where data are being send from HRCloud application to BC (SaaS), which works as expected, but we need to send additional fields from HRCloud to BC. I already spoke with the HRCloud development team to add additional fields, but I am not sure how to parse those additional fields to the fields of table in the BC.

ie. I need to parse field: Ethnicity from HRCloud to a field: "Ethnicity" in the table Employee in the BC.
- field: "Ethnicity" as available in the HRCloud connector GetEmployee
- field: "Ethnicity" does not exists in the standard table Employee in the BC, so I have extended table Employee, where I added new field: "Ethnicity" (Enum type), and I am not sure how to parse that field since it is not available in the BC connector "Create Record (V3)".

    Hi Taylor_Becktold

    I managed to add custom fields on the T5200 - Employee and displayed those fields on PG5200 - Employee Card, and PG5201 - Employee List and then I also created new page type API where I copied the standard page5200 (type=API) and displayed those fields there, so custom API can now be selected and record is now inserted in the T5200 - Employee in BC as expected.

    I have one additional query, I can't figure out how to use filtering on connector Find Record (V3). I would like to check if record already exist in the T5200 in the BC database, before inserting new record.

    Thanks Damjan

    @DamjanZ -

    There is a way to do this, but it requires Business Central custom development:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/developer/devenv-develop-custom-api

    I advise you discuss with someone who has Business Central development experience (Microsoft Partner) prior to attempting it yourself. Customizations in Business Central can have unintended consequences and should be done in the sandbox/development environment prior to deploying for production use.
