Hi Power Pages Community,

i'm working currently on our new website which we wanna base on power pages. During my tests I tried to implement german as a second language with dropdown options to select. it seems to work but the Displayname is wrong.

- English is correct

- German shows the "Titel" of the language and not de Display Name. It should show "Deutsch" insteed of German - Germany.

Here the settings of the language, Displayname is set to "Deutsch":

Does anyone have an idea where it takes this "German - Germany" from and how can I change that it will show the Displayname of the language?

Many thanks already for help.

Hello, yes I faced that issue multiple times and I find it very annoying.

Are you familiar with the Level-up browser extension? That's an easy way to change the Language Name

    Microsoft Edge Add-ons

Open the Website Language record, via Level-up, enable the God Mode option and change the Name field

You may also be able to do this via export/import data or any other tool that manipulates Dataverse data

    Hi @M365guy,

I haven't faced that issue. I have been able to change it properly. But, let's double check few things to see if we can solve it:

    - The language you are modifying is the one of the correct website

    - You have syncronized after modifying it

Have you used any template for your website?

The languages dropdown usually is in the web template "Languages Dropdown". Have you modified it? Can you send its content?

@M365guy have you solved your problem?

@victorlee1 are you facing the same issue? can you let me know what you didn't understand about my previous answer so I can try to help you?

    Hi,

I am still have the issue and applied a workaround, where I use Javascript to find the French language in the website (displayed as "French - France") and change the text to "Français" only.

Also, regarding your answer, I don't have the "Name" option for the language. This is what I have:

You can notice in the above image that even though "Display Name" shows 'Français', this value is never shown anywhere in the website.

I am not if you read my previous answer in full. Have you installed the level-up and applied the god mode? You will be able to see the Name field then.

I am more than happy to help if you have further issues.

    Thanks
