PowerApps Portals Azure AD Authentication

Hello,

We're using out-of-box Azure AD authentication for Power Apps Portals.

The bug we're seeing is no contact is being created when a user signs into the Portal using Azure AD. We removed all the filters and searched for the contact, but we don't see it. When we manually try to create their contact in the database, it errors out stating the contact with the email already exists. Does it have anything to do with my privileges? Am I not able to see these contacts because i didn't create them? I am a system customizer. Or is it the site settings?

Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thank you in advance!

    Hi @Anonymous ,

You will need to add a new site setting to your portal and set it to false, It verifies if a unique email address is necessary for validating a user. By default, it is set to true. But if we want the previous setting to work properly we need to set it to false (if leave as is it might cause issues during authentication - check official doc).

    Hi together,

wow, wasn't aware of that setting - thanks @Anonymous .

A full list of login required stuff is available here : https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/portals/configure/set-authentication-identity#user-credential-validation

Nevertheless: i would highly recomment to keep the emails unique, if possible. When it comes to syncronization to other directory services it might be the only chance to aling stuff 🙂

    Have fun,

      Christian
