File Storage Capacity

I have a File Storage Capacity issue.   I'm not a dynamics user.   I have made several custom tables in the Dataverse.   I access them using Powerapps and Power Automate.

I have lots of Database Storage remaining, but am at my limit for File Storage.    All the articles about how to reduce file storage point me towards the Advanced Filter and Bulk Removal of "Email Attachments" and "Note Attachments".   But I don't seem to have any data in either of these tables.

By FAR, my largest capacity table in my database is the system table called "Image Descriptor".   It's also by FAR the largest capacity in the Files section.  I have a LOT of images submitted through Powerapps into Image columns in my datatables.    My suspicion is that these images are being saved as files somewhere and then being referenced by the datatables.    So I deleted a large amount of old database records assuming that the file storage would fall, but it didn't.    The database storage fell, but the file storage was the same.   So I'm guessing that I've deleted the reference to the saved images, but not the actual saved images.

The only other place that I can think that the documents would be from are emails with attachments sent through Power Automate.   But when I go to the advanced filter or bulk delete functions, there are no emails showing.

There must be some way that I can see the location/folder/table where the File Storage is being used.    Any ideas?

Thank you in advance.

    Re: File Storage Capacity

Thanks for the reply.   Sorry... I should have mentioned that.

This has been a week of deleting and troubleshooting and watching to see if the stats update the following day.

Throughout the week I've seen the database values falling (approx 24 hours later) and the file storage values are not changing.

    Re: File Storage Capacity

The first (and unfortunately unpleasant) answer to this is to wait.

The database and file usage displayed in the admin portal is not real-time, in fact is isn't anywhere near real-time. It can take days for updates to reflect in the admin portal, and there really isn't anything you can do to force a refresh.

So, before you go to extremes trying to deal with this, give it a couple days and see if what you've already done was actually enough, and it's just not showing in the stats yet.
