Invalid backend configuration

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience of this?

When I go to my portal front end and attempt to add an image to a page I follow the usual route

Click add image > browse server > select (or upload) new image

But when I do I get an error saying "invalid backend configuration" as you can see in the image below.

When I add the image via the portal studio it goes in fine in the studio but on the front end it shows as a broken link.

Any ideas before I escalate to Microsoft?

    Hi @matthu

I assume you are referring portal front end as "portal management". If so, make sure you have selected the right website while uploading web files.

In one of the recent posts, Mira has mentioned selecting website records.

Also, just go through each web file and ensure the right website is selected.

Hi @ragavanrajan no I mean the front end as a user would see it. Sometimes I edit in there so long as im

logged in as a user with admin rights I can make various changes from

    there.

I have checked the website records In portal management and they seem correct and my image is stored as a webfile plus it shows as an image like it should In the studio but not in the portal itself

    thanks for your response

    Hi @matthu

Probably your portal management has been renamed.  Log in to

    https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/environments

    1. Select your environment> Edit > URL > Change URL( Check if is malfunctioned) and then save

    2. Then clear the cache. Article below.

    https://ragavanrajan.medium.com/powerapps-portal-finding-current-version-or-clear-portal-cache-901e690c3e6a

In portal studio> Sync config > Browse the website > Ctrl + F5.

Try adding images now via front end.

    Hope it helps.

    Hi @ragavanrajan

and welcome @dokane ! I have attempted to do what you suggested above but when i go to https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/environments and then > login and select the affected environment then > Edit > there is no change URL button? presumably i cannot just choose a new URL?

The URL that is there appears to me to be the correct URL?
