Hello Power Automate Community,
I hope you can help. I'm asking this question on behalf of a colleague, so apologies if I'm a bit vague.
In a Flow we are using the action "Respond to a PowerApp or flow". (See image below).
We want to pass data from a SharePoint list into this action. Is there a limitation on the number of characters that can be passed? And if the number is small, then does anyone know of an alternative way to do this, that is not using a premium connector.
Thanks very much,
Garry
Hate to revive an old post, but it seems the limit is much higher than that given in the accepted answer. I am trying to test the limits of this and have so far been able to pass more than 13M characters with 11.3M of those being in a single response text field. This is essentially 1000 rows of a table with 16 columns and additional meta data per item and a couple of smaller tables. While I'm confident there is a limit, the limit is far greater than the answer supplied. I suspect you would have to approach the 100MB message size limit so probably closer to 100M characters. If you are looking to pass millions of rows of data this way, its probably best to find another option, or run the flow multiple times. If you are passing a small-medium sized data set you should be able to pass you data successfully.
Hi @GarryPope,
The maximum number of the characters in a string is 131,072, no matter a premium connector or not.
