Sequence contains no elements error on edit forms

Hi everyone

I have this error that has recently started popping up on my power pages site on all my edit forms.

It has to do with the population of my lookup fields on my edit forms. Because if I set the lookup fields to read only the error does not appear. Only on edit mode forms. The read-only method is not a long term solution so I have to figure out what the issue is.

Things that I have double checked so far are the following:

1. Permissions are correct
2. Record does exist so it is not referencing nothing.
3. No custom code is directly working with my lookup fields on load of the form. Which is when I get the error.

Have searched the community forums for similar issues but have had no luck and I also have a ticket open with Microsoft but...hoping someone here might be able to help.

Thanks in advance

I don't know what the issue is, but based on what the trace contains either a Bug or maybe some issue with metadata for the Lookup field.
Do you have a Metadata record defined against the  Basic Form / Step for the Lookup, if so check what may be populated in the field on the metadata record for the Create form.

Can you confirm your Portal version?

I have seen a fix on version 9.7.2.x that could be related to Metadata against Multistep Forms
